Windy Hill Farm
A great place for pick your own apples. With fresh cider donuts every weekend this is a must-stop.
Bash Bish Falls State Park
State park with a beautiful waterfall. Should be a good place to see fall foliage. The hike to the falls is of difficult ability, about 0.6 miles round-trip. Shorter, more rugged, and strenuous.
Taft Farms
Wonderful farm stand and bakery that serves fresh produce and fresh cider donuts.
High Lawn Farm
High Lawn Farm is a gorgeous historic dairy farm. Home to delicious artisanal cheeses, butter, and ice cream!
Mass Audubon's Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary
Beautiful wildlife sanctuary with 7 miles of trails. A mixture of easier flat hikes with boardwalks and harder ones. Including a mostly flat hike of less than a mile around Pike’s Pond.
Hilltop Orchards Home of Furnace Brook Winery and Jmash Cidery
Worth the drive to this farm featuring an apple orchard, cidery, and winery! Cider and wine tastings daily along with cider donuts made daily, hiking trails with fantastic views, and more.
The Mount, Edith Wharton's Home
The Mount is the historic home of Edith Wharton. It is a gorgeous estate with European-style gardens, a bookstore, and historical tours.
Tanglewood
Tanglewood is one of the world’s most beloved music festivals, with an annual music series including the Boston Symphony Orchestra. It is also a beautiful spot for picnicking.
Barrington Brewery & Restaurant
Barrington Brewery is next to the wedding venue and features its' own solar-brewed beer. It is a rustic tavern with American comfort food. Their beer will also be featured at the wedding!
Chesterwood
A National Trust Historic Site, Chesterwood is the summer home, studio and gardens of sculptor Daniel Chester French, who sculpted the seated figure of Abraham Lincoln for the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC. Many of French’s plaster sketches, including models of Abraham Lincoln, are on view at Chesterwood.
Berkshire Scenic Railway - Hoosac Valley Service
Take a scenic 90 minute train ride through the Berkshires. This is a great way to see fall foliage! Also closer to the wedding venue, check out the Berkshire Scenic Railway Lenox Station Museum.
Norman Rockwell Museum
A museum dedicated to the iconic American artist Norman Rockwell. There you can see some of its pieces as well as his studio. Fun fact Normal Rockwell lived in Jena's hometown for 14 years.
Clark Art Institute
Although the Clark is farther away from Great Barrington I couldn't leave it off this list. Jena grew up going to the Clark with her grandparents (Bob and Avon) and holds a special place in her heart. The Clark is a great art museum with beautiful grounds.
