Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! The dress code is semi-formal; dress to express. Think comfortable yet elevated. November in Santa Cruz is mildly cool and humid with average highs of 65°F (18°C) and lows of 49°F (9°C). It is the beginning of the rainy season, so we generally don't get big storms yet, but mild rain. It is usually a mix of sun and clouds so bring layers! The ceremony will be outside and reception indoors. Cocktail dresses, midi dresses, or dressy skirts. Wedges, flats, and block heels are perfect for navigating the barn and outdoor areas. Dress shirts with slacks, optional ties, or blazers. Boots or loafers are welcome.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, however we are letting the parents decide! Everyone listed on the reservation, including children, is invited. Parents, if you prefer to leave the kids at home, we get it! If you'd like to bring the whole family, we would love to have everyone there! We will not have a separate space for children or a designated babysitter so please take this into consideration.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Yes, please let Tony or Jemzi know ASAP! We will do our best to accomodate all of our guests!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, guests can use parking lots 115/116 (across Coolidge Drive), and the Barn Theater, lot #122 (base of campus) if available. The Hay Barn has a total of 22 regular parking spaces and 1 ADA space for VIPs and/or parking for people with mobility issues. Ride Share services, public transportation, and carpooling are strongly encouraged! Please note there is NO parking allowed on Ranch View Road! This could result in a parking citation.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

We are currently working on ordering a hotel block, please let us know if you are interested in a hotel room for the weekend! Dream Inn Wedding Block Guests can book directly through our website using the code "WEDDING" to receive 16% off all room types. Guests can choose any dates and room types that work for them. Please note: All Saturday bookings require a 2-night minimum stay — either Friday & Saturday or Saturday & Sunday.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Not at the moment, please stay tuned and consider carpooling and using ride share services!
