Eric and I met in Spanish class at the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash Campus - the perfect place for two language aficionados! Sitting in La Profesora Woods class, we had to vocalize our Spanish. I remember I was showing off my skills, when someone sitting behind me said, "your Spanish is so good." I actually don't think Eric and I would have met, much less dated, without Spanish class. It was there that we became friends and it was there that we met other life-long friends. Nowadays, we only speak Spanish together when we absolutely have to. He has an accent that drives me insane, and my grammar isn't perfect enough for him. But the one thing we always say to one another, in any language: te amo!
After five years of dating, Eric finally popped the question! It was a very simple affair. I was at my grandparent's house for Christmas Hot Pot, expecting Eric's arrival. When he finally got there, Eric called me outside and proposed in the cold snow. Bone-chilling romance at its finest.
