It was October 2012, at Branchville Fire Co.'s open house. Emily had come home from college in Rhode Island for the weekend and Jesse was supposed to go home, but stayed for the open house. As the two were hanging around the open cab on display for the public, Jesse noticed Emily had french fries from Wendy's. He looked at her and said, "You can't eat french fries in front of a fat kid and not offer them any." French fries were shared and not much was thought of the interaction. Later on, they were sitting on top of the open cab and someone said his name. Emily, being horrible with names, got butterflies in her stomach and a voice in her head screamed, "That's important, you need to remember his name!" Five and a half years, countless french fries, and one very large and spoiled dog later, they say I do!"
