It all started on a sunny Saturday at a little beach bar on St. Pete Beach. Jelly was there with friends — Matt was too — and by pure chance (or maybe fate), Jelly started chatting with Matt’s friend Savannah. Within a few minutes, Matt and Jelly were deep in conversation. He was animatedly talking about two of his greatest loves — watching the Ravens and Sundays at Ferg’s — and before the day ended, he invited her to join him the next day. What Jelly didn’t know at the time was that this would become a weekly ritual… and that Ferg’s would soon feel like a second home. Matt and Jelly love spending their weekends out in the sun and enjoying the best of Southwest Florida. But they’re equally obsessed with traveling and exploring new places together. Some of their favorite memories include an unforgettable trip to Montana, adventuring through Glacier National Park, Yellowstone, Flathead Lake, and Whitefish — made even better with two of their best friends, Chrissie and James, along for the ride. In May of 2025, they took an exciting trip to Peru, where they went sandboarding in Huacachina, wandered the streets of historic Cusco, and explored the floating islands of Lake Titicaca. Halfway through the trip, after an early morning hike to the top of Machu Picchu and just as the clouds parted, Matt dropped down to one knee — creating the most scenic and magical proposal (he even had a photographer hiding in the crowd!). They are so thrilled to begin this next chapter of life together and can’t wait to celebrate with you at their wedding ceremony and reception in March — in their favorite place on Earth, St. Pete!
