FAQs

Question

Is there a theme for the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Our theme is gothic celestial, and as such, you will see moody, romantic decorations. If you would like to match the theme, we recommend dressing in jewel tones or black. However, there is no pressure whatsoever to match the theme. We only request that the attire matches our dress code.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would like all our guests to be in formal cocktail attire. And since this is indeed wedding, don’t wear white or any white-adjacent clothing. If you do decide to wear white or white-adjacent colors, you do so at your own risk! ;)

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, kids are welcome! We do ask you to be courteous during the ceremony if your child is unable to stay seated and calm. And remember - this is going to be party mainly catered to adults! This may be a day where you call in a babysitter so that you can enjoy the festivities to the fullest extent.

Question

Can I bring a Plus One?

Answer

If your invitation doesn’t indicate that you can bring a plus one, the answer is more than likely no! Due to budget constraints, we have invited the exact amount of people and cannot add any more people. Please reach out to Kelley or Jessica if you have any additional questions.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I have to respond via mail or online?

Answer

Our RSVP deadline is September 5th. We would prefer an online response, but we have provided physical RSVP cards in your invitation. You can respond via whichever method is easiest for you.

Question

So who’s taking whose last name?

Answer

Jessica is will be taking Kelley’s last name, so our family will be The Gallaways.

Question

Is this an indoor or outdoor wedding?

Answer

Ceremony will take place outdoors, and the reception will take place indoors. Both are at the same venue, Lake Natoma Inn in Folsom.

Question

What should I expect for Sacramento weather?

Answer

Sacramento still feels very much like summer in early October. On average, you'll see temperatures in the 70-80s range, but it is absolutely plausible for 90-degree days in October. Stay cool!

Question

What should I expect from the ceremony?

Answer

It will be, in a word, gay. In more words, we have planned for it to be non-denominational with our good friend, Kerri Yund, officiating.

Question

What’s the food situation going to be?

Answer

Buffet style with cuisine that is good for a large variety of cultures and palates.

Question

Drinks? Alcohol?

Answer

Yes! We'll have drinks and alcoholic drinks available with an open-ish bar. All non-alcoholic drinks will be free throughout the night. Alcoholic drinks will be free, but there is a price limit. We're fairly certain that we will not hit said limit, but just in case, be prepared.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know if you have any allergies in your note to us in the RSVP.

Question

Where should we bring or send gifts?

Answer

We have a list of funds that will help contribute to our Honeymoon and our baby dog, Candy, but our dream is to purchase Abuela Lucy’s home. We would feel so blessed and honored if you could help us fulfill our dream of owning a home. Our registry page will contain all the links to said funds.

Question

Do you have COVID restrictions?

Answer

We will have masks available for your use, but they are not required. We understand that this may be controversial for some, but we want our wedding to be a safe and comfortable environment for ALL. We would also encourage you to test before the wedding (we certainly will) to ensure that we are not spreading COVID.
