We met at a basketball game in high school when we were 17 years old. We hung out and kind of dated for a little while, but went our separate ways for a couple of years until we rekindled the friendship (which is what it was for a long time) until I finally came to my senses and realized he was the one for me. And look where we are now!

We took a little trip to Las Vegas around Valentine's Day and I was not expecting the proposal at all. I figured he would propose in May, which is when our anniversary is. We watched a fountain show at the Bellagio Fountains and then Jelani wanted to take a picture. I thought nothing of it, but when he got down on one knee I was so surprised, happy, and emotional. It was the perfect proposal and I'm so happy to be marrying my best friend.
