Jeff is the son of Guy and Nancy Nyhuis and has two sisters, Amy and Karin. Jeff grew up in a small Michigan town and moved to Virginia in 2008. He has worked a variety of jobs but now works for company he respects and enjoys. He always sees life as an adventure but never takes the simple things for granted. Jeff is a man of faith who strives to serve and honor God in all he does.
Stacie Smentkowski
Bride
Stacie's family is a little more complicated to explain. She is the daughter of Rodney and Diane, but was raised by two sets of loving parents as her father later married Tracey Smentkowski and her mother later married William Viney. She has 3 siblings on her Dad's side: Jamie, Ashley and Ryan and 2 siblings on her Mom's side: Kris and Kevin. She also has 2 stepsisters: Michelle and Keri. Stacie grew up dancing and now teaches at a studio and works as a Licensed Veterinary Technician, focusing on animal behavior (psychiatry.) She never really knew what she wanted to be when she "grew up". Although, she always knew she wanted to marry someone she loved who would cherish her in return for the rest of her life. It's a simple dream, but it's finally come true and she couldn't be more grateful.

Best Man
Guy is Jeff's father and best man. He taught Jeff small lessons, such as, riding a bike or how to not give up in monopoly, unless it's one in the morning. He taught him how to drive and how to win at foosball three games in a row. He also taught him the big lessons. How to work hard in everything no matter the task. How to love unconditionally and make sacrifices for the ones you love. He's the type of man you aspire to be. He's the best man Jeff hopes to be.
Meredith Barker
Maid of Honor
Stacie and Meredith met in 6th grade. They had similar interests in performing and formed a close bond from the beginning. They grew closer through the awkward years of braces and bad fashion choices. They even roomed together in college and somehow didn't kill each other and remained friends. They've supported one another through surgeries, ugly breakups, job transitions and the trying years of one's twenties. While they live in different states and work busy schedules, it's like they never spent a moment apart when they get together. They know this friendship has stood the test of time and will continue to through any circumstance. A 25 year old friendship is nothing to take lightly. Stacie is so happy to have Meredith standing by her side as she walks with Jeff into this new chapter .
