We initially matched on Bumble on May 8, 2018. Just when I was about to give up on the online dating world, I matched with this man that mentions faith in his bio and the phrase "if you're looking for a hookup, you have the wrong guy." Instantly he stood out to me from the others (hence why I was about to give up!). We met at Yard House in the Domain and ended up talking for hours. We had so much in common and had such a strong connection right away. Little things like him being a twin and my having twin brothers to bigger things like our faith or gaming. It was hard to imagine I may have found someone almost quite as quirky as me. Within just a week I knew he was a keeper but the first time I met his family was when I knew with 100% certainty that this was the man I wanted to marry. The past year has been one of the happiest of my life getting to share special moments with Jeffrey. He proposed on the 360 bridge in Austin where we had one of our first dates and had our first picture taken together. He somehow managed to surprise me and using the stones from my mom's ring makes it all the more special. I can't wait to marry my best friend and see how God works through our marriage.
After searching through multiple profiles on Bumble, I began to grow weary and unexcited about the girls on the app. But then I came across an absolutely beautiful girl with blonde curly hair and a bright smile in her profile picture. Her bio was intriguing to me and said all the right things. I swiped right not knowing that my life would be changed forever. I went from never having a girlfriend to meeting my soulmate in a matter of days. How could something so crazy happen? There are many events and people in my life that have helped strengthen my faith in God, but Meredith is at the top of that list. God has blessed me more than I deserve with such a loving partner and best friend. During our first date, I felt so nervous on the inside but she couldn't tell. She looked so pretty and spoke very intelligently. I thought to myself, "crap, this girl probably won't talk to me again after this." Two days later, she asked me out on our second date. Yes, she asked me out! Our second date felt so natural and it helped confirm that she was someone truly special. I proposed to Meredith on 4/27/19 and was as nervous as I felt on our first date. I couldn't bear the potential outcome of her asking for more time or saying she wasn't ready. We went to the overlook at the 360 bridge - to the exact spot on the ridge where we took our first picture together. After we hiked to the spot, the conversation became a blur but I'm pretty sure she said yes ;) Babe, I love you and will love you forever. I can't wait to spend our lives together.
