Ferry and Plane to and from Block Island

There are 3 ways to travel to Block Island in late September Option 1: Take the Point Judith Traditional Ferry from Pt Judith, RI This is a 1 hour voyage that can accommodate passengers and vehicles. This is the ONLY option to bring a vehicle to Block Island. VEHICLE RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE FAR IN ADVANCE. The best way to guarantee a vehicle reservation is to call the Block Island Ferry reservation line at 401-783-7996 ext. 3 ON JANUARY 13th 2026. If traveling with a vehicle, you MUST arrive 1 hour prior to voyage time. Passenger tickets can be purchased on the day of voyage. Traveling to Ferry Terminal/Airport

Traveling by Vehicle: There is ample parking options at the ferry terminal in Pt Judith and the airport in Westerly Traveling by Train (Amtrak): Leave from New York Moynihan Hall (NYP) Boston South Station (BOS) or Back Bay (BBY) or North Station (BON) or Providence Amtrak Station (PVD) Note: If flying into Boston, South Station(BOS) is the closest train line to the airport via the MBTA Silver Line To the Ferries: Arrive at Kingston RI (KIN) station and take a 30min Uber/Lyft or 50min bus 66 to the Block Island Ferry Terminal To Westerly Airport: Arrive at Westerly RI (WLY) station and take a 10 minute Uber/Lyft to the airport.
