We met the modern way—on Hinge, proving that sometimes dating apps actually work—and our first date was in LA at Bru’s Wiffle House, one day prior to Jeff starting his pilot career. Not love at first sight but enough sparks to see something special brewing. We quickly realized we shared a lot in common and had similar values, which made us want a second date…and a third. The real turning point came when Jeff moved into Maddy’s 650 square feet apartment together and somehow didn’t get sick of each other. We eventually escaped LA and moved to Phoenix to grow our careers—lead physical therapist and a pilot in training—while growing our life together. Fast forward a year later, on a last-minute trip to the Grand Canyon, Jeff was down on one knee asking for Maddy’s hand in marriage—she was so shocked her jaw nearly hit the canyon floor, a moment we will always remember, and now we’re so ready to live our happily ever after. 💍
