Our festivities will begin Monday, 9 November and end 13 November. The ceremony is on Wednesday, 11 November at 4:00pm. We, along with close family, will arrive on Sunday, 8 November and catch the shuttle to Monterrico the next morning. We understand that everyone's schedules are different so please book your wedding "vacation" to your availability and comfortability. Be advised, there is also a shuttle scheduled for Tuesday, 10 November if you are unable to arrive to Guatemala before the first shuttle departs.
If you are staying at the Hyatt in Guatemala City, the hotel offers an airport shuttle for $15/person. Most guests will be staying there before heading to Monterrico. Uber is also available in Guatemala City.

Uber works in Guatemala City but not in Monterrico. Once in Monterrico, use our arranged transportation.
Your presence is a gift. But if you decide to get us something extra, save space in your carry on! No need to bring it to Guatemala; please refer to our registry.
While Monterrico is a safe town, it is not walkable for guests. Transporation is available from 6:00am to 11:00pm anywhere in town; whether you are staying offsite or at the airbnb. Details for this amenity is listed in the TRAVEL tab.
Immediate family will be at the Airbnb (which is also the venue). All other guests will stay at nearby hotels/resorts about 10 minutes away. Hotel details are found under the travel tab.
Yes, it is a small, relaxed beach town. Just stick to the main areas, use our transportation, and avoid wandering alone at night.
Breakfast is included at the Hyatt in Guatemala City, complimentary breakfast is available at El Faro, and food throughout the week will either be cooked or catered at the Airbnb, where everyone is always welcome!
Please drink bottled water only. It will be available everywhere.
Yes, it's a tropical beach town. Bug spray will be available for guests but feel free to bring you own. Also, plan for mosquitos, especially at night.
This is not your typical wedding. It is a wedding-week vacation! It is hot, humid, and sunny. Pack sunscreen, hats, light & comfortable clothing, and anything else you'd want for a tropical beach vacation. *SWIMWEAR IS ESSENTIAL!
Tropical beach cocktail attire. Think: coral, burgundy, purples, greens, oranges, yellows, pinks (bird of paradise energy). Linen, satin, flowy fabrics, and comfortable shoes; you are on the beach!
Only immediate-family children will be attending. Most guests are leaving the little ones at home to enjoy a little alone time!

Credit cards are accepted at most establishments in Guatemala City, but in Monterrico, cash is king! It is recommended to take out cash from a bank in Guatemala City or prior to leaving the U.S. Note: Don't forget to tell your bank you are traveling!
