Guests should plan to arrive 20–30 minutes before the ceremony to allow time for parking and walking to the ceremony site.

Yes! Both the ceremony and reception will take place outdoors in the gardens.

What should I wear for an outdoor garden wedding?

We recommend comfortable shoes suitable for walking on grass, brick paths, and garden walkways. (Don’t forget your white 😉🤍)

Yes. Parking will be available at Maclay Gardens near the visitor areas.

The ceremony and reception are within the gardens but in different areas. Guests will take a short walk between locations.

Guests are welcome to explore the gardens and visit the museum while the wedding party transitions between ceremony and reception.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

November in Tallahassee is typically mild and comfortable, with lower humidity and pleasant daytime temperatures. Evenings can become cooler after sunset, so a light jacket or wrap is recommended. (Don’t forget to wear white please!) Rain is usually moderate, but many days are clear and enjoyable.

Yes! Dinner and drinks will be served during the reception.

Are there hotels nearby?

Yes, there are several hotels available throughout Tallahassee. We recommend staying within 15–20 minutes of Maclay Gardens. They are listed in the TRAVEL section.

Yes — please take photos and videos throughout the wedding! We love the idea of our favorite people capturing the day from their perspective. Feel free to snap away during the ceremony and celebration, then share your favorites in our shared album so we can relive every moment through your eyes.
