Jeff and I met at HoBrah while celebrating a coworkers promotion. We eventually made our way up to Jodys, where Jeff showed off his dance moves. As it was time to close out the tab, Jeff asked for a ride home because he was rehabing his knee after surgery. If anyone knows where Jeff lives, I’m sure you’re laughing at this. So 45 seconds later, after arriving at his apartment we exchanged numbers and haven’t gone a day without talking.
Our Happy Place, Long Beach Island. After a stressful day at work, Debra left and drove down to Long Beach Island. She was exhausted. On the other hand, I was mentally exhausted trying to figure out the perfect way to propose. I finally woke Debra up from a nap to take Elsa for a walk so we can watch the sun-set. We made our way along Long Beach Blvd. while I looked down every block for the perfect setting. Finally, we made it to the bay. There was no one around except the three of us. This was it, I knew it was time. I had Debra face the water so I can take pictures of her and Elsa as I fumbled trying to get the ring out of my back pocket. She turns around and I’m down on one knee, ring in hand. Debra drops the leash, letting go of Elsa screaming in excitement. I didn't even get ask to her “Will You Marry Me?” She just said are you serious? Yes, Yes, as I grabbed Elsa from jumping into the water. Finally we made our way back to the house where I surprised Debra with our families and friends to celebrate our engagement.
