Jeff moved back to Denver in June 2019 after working in the yacht business for 10 years from Seattle, WA. Meanwhile, Christine had just been bopping around Denver working on her fitness business and teaching music in Lone Tree, CO. Sometime in early July 2019, Heidi (Jeff's sister) and Ashleigh (Christine's best friend) were drunk in a hot tub at a beer fest (their husbands are best friends). Those two decided that Christine and Jeff would be a perfect match because they love fitness and working out. So, Heidi and Ashleigh doled out phone numbers and Christine and Jeff met for a drink at the Dive Inn on Broadway the next week on July 17, 2019. On their first date, Christine crushed Jeff at cornhole after a few vodka sodas, then they made their way to another bar and listened to metal music (which was questionable). The first date was a hit! Date 3 included hiking two 14ers, so Ashleigh and Heidi are clearly match makers with the whole fitness thing!

Christine and Jeff hit the ground running in early August with the most perfect date to RiNo which included scootering, beers, live music, and most importantly, chips and guac. They were smitten and since that day in RiNo have been inseparable ever since! They started officially dating in August 2019, and began hiking their little faces off. That is, of course, after Christine attended Heidi and Dan's wedding, and met the entire family! Jeff shared his rock climbing hobby with Christine and they bonded over fit things. And food. The food addiction is real. They both have an unbelievably insatiable appetite and people comment on it, often. Truly meant to be. Both Christine and Jeff love their huge families so much, it was just another point that they're "meant to be". Christine and Jeff are often having Friday nights at Stu's bar and Saturdays are spent eating BBQ or drinking Negronis at the Danitz household. Besides being all over the mountains, Jeff traveled all over the country to make Christine happy. First, Austin in January so he could support her while she ran a half marathon. Next, to North Carolina for a wedding for Ashley and Adam Quinn. And lastly, to Las Vegas for Christine's sister bachelorette party with the Danitz siblings. Its a wonder everyone made it back alive. Christine and Jeff also took an amazing camping trip to Lake Powell in June with Tracy and Stu which was a delight!

Well, Christine knew that Jeff was going to propose on June 26. The two had discussed their wedding all the way back in February (pre-Covid) and gone ring shopping. Then Covid happened and put Jeff's proposal plans on hold. After panicking about the possibility of Covid ruining the 2021 wedding, they booked the venue without even being engaged. Long story short, Christine couldn't handle the anticipation, and Jeff had to tell her the date he was proposing so she could sleep at night... On June 26, 2020, Jeff and Christine hiked (or sprinted, whatever you want to call it) to the top of St. Mary's Glacier (neither had ever been) and found a lovely spot near the water. Christine pretended like she didn't know what was happening, Jeff set up the tripod, and they got the whole thing on film. Then Christine made Jeff pose for like 500 pictures.
