Question
What time is the ceremony?
Answer
Doors open at 4:30 pm. The Perkins Wedding Ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 pm. If you arrive when the ceremony is underway you will not be permitted entry as the doors will be closed. Note: if you arrive before 4:30 pm you will not be allowed entry into the ceremony space but feel free to wait in the main lobby until 4:30 pm.

Can I record on my personal devices during the wedding ceremony?
Answer
The Perkins wedding ceremony is an “unplugged ceremony”. Please do not use your phone or tablet etc during the wedding ceremony. It is very important to us that everyone respect this request.

What is the attire?
Answer
The attire for The Perkins Wedding is black tie. (Black tie means men are expected to wear tuxedos and women are expected to wear gowns. ***Black tie does not mean you have to wear all black you can wear the color(s) of your choosing). This is a strict dress code. An example of appropriate attire is pictured above. If you have any questions about attire please feel free to contact Carlette Langley (202) 746-3343.

Where will the wedding be held?
Answer
The wedding and reception will both be held inside the Kimpton Hotel Monaco in two ballrooms on the fourth floor. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held in the Athens Ballroom. The reception will be held in the Paris Ballroom.

Should I get a hotel room if I live in the DMV area?
Answer
If you are in the wedding party we request that you book a room at the Hotel Monaco. For all other guests, we recommend also booking at Hotel Monaco or at a hotel in the surrounding area. Gallery Place is a very busy highly trafficked area on the weekends. Our wedding venue is directly across the street from Capital One Arena and in the case of a sporting event/ concert etc, parking and travel may be difficult but ultimately you can decide if a hotel is best suited for you.

Is there parking at the Hotel Monaco?
Answer
Hotel Monaco is located in the heart of Gallery Place/Chinatown and the hotel does provide valet. There is metered street parking available, as well as, parking garages. The closest garage is Atlantic Parking which is located behind the hotel. The address is: 560 8th St NW, Washington, DC 20004 this garage closes at 12:00 am.

Can I bring my fur baby?
Answer
Yes! Furry friends are welcome. Kimpton Pet Policy: "At Kimpton hotels, every guest, be they on two legs or four, is greeted with open arms and cozy accommodations. So bring your best friend along! Doesn't matter if your extra family member is furry, feathery or scaly. It's okay by us, and there is no extra charge -- no matter their size, weight or breed. We not only allow dogs, cats, and other pets at our hotels, we welcome them. You’ll never see extra cleaning charges or pet deposits at a Kimpton hotel."

Is there a restaurant/ bar at Hotel Monaco?
Answer
Yes! There is an amazing restaurant inside Hotel Monaco called "Dirty Habit". This restaurant can be accessed through the hotel lobby or from the street. Note: Dirty Habit is very delicious but can be very pricey. There are hundreds of restaurants and bars within walking distance of the hotel so you can visit one of those as well.
