FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We ask that all guests RSVP no later than October 15, 2025.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Wedding: While we would have loved a black-tie celebration, the warm weather calls for something a bit lighter. "Beach formal" strikes the perfect balance: elevated and elegant, yet comfortable for the setting. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear a lightweight suit or dress shirt with trousers. Ladies are encouraged to wear floor-length gowns, cocktail dresses or elegant maxi dresses in light, breathable fabrics like silk, chiffon or linen blends. Note the events will be held on grass (not sand), so we recommend block heels, wedges or dressy flats rather than stilettos. Please, no flip-flops, shorts or casual sundresses. We kindly ask guests to avoid wearing white, cream or sage. Other Events: Please check the "Schedule" tab for more information on attire for additional events.

Question

What happened to the missing "n"?

Answer

It's currently on vacation and will rejoin us at the reception.

Question

Do I need a passport to travel?

Answer

Yes! You must have a current valid passport and a return ticket to exit Costa Rica within 90 days. Your passport has to be valid for at least six months after the arrival date to Costa Rica. If you already have a passport, be sure to check the expiration date. If you do not already have a valid passport, it is a good idea to apply early to be sure you receive it in time for the trip.

Question

Do I need a visa?

Answer

If you are an American or Brazilian citizen you do not need a visa to travel to Costa Rica.

Question

Can we come earlier or stay later?

Answer

Absolutely! We will arrive on Thursday, February 12th and leave on Tuesday, February 17th.

Question

Is childcare available?

Answer

In addition to the kids club at the JW Marriott, professional nanny and babysitting services are available, so parents can spend a relaxing day together, enjoy an extended dinner, or even attend a special event, all worry-free. The hotel (and our wedding planner) has recommended the services of Guana Nana (nanny services). Their rates begin at $10 per hour plus taxes and fees. Please reach out directly to Solimar Guevara from Guana Nana at +506-8684-4551 to coordinate for your nanny needs.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about?

Answer

Yes! We'd love for you to join us for the white welcome party and the waterfall hike. Please refer to the "Schedule" tab for more information.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Yes, we will have a shuttle from the JW Marriott hotel to all wedding events. Shuttle schedule will be shared closer to the event date.

Question

Will any part of the wedding be outdoors?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will be outside. Note the events will be held on grass (not sand), so we recommend block heels, wedges or dressy flats rather than stilettos.

Question

Will the ceremony be unplugged?

Answer

Yes, we kindly ask that phones and cameras remain tucked away during the ceremony so all may be fully present. We have hired amazing pros to capture it all, so you can relax and enjoy the moment.

Question

What kind of meal will be served?

Answer

A delicious buffet-style dinner will be served, with accommodations for dietary needs.

Question

How do I share my dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please indicate any dietary restriction on your RSVP.
