The story of how we met is actually pretty simple, but somehow it feels like fate had been quietly working behind the scenes.  At the time, I was finishing my undergraduate degree, working toward my bachelor’s in psychology while balancing both work and school. Meanwhile, Jeff was living in Fremont and working the night shift at Tesla. The odds of us meeting felt incredibly small. After years of commuting to Fremont while attending Ohlone College, I had pretty much sworn I was done making that drive forever. But fate clearly had other plans… because that’s where Jeff lived. Like many busy adults after COVID, we both ended up online. One day while casually scrolling, we came across each other profiles. I instantly thought he was SO handsome. He told me he thought I looked “cool.” From the very beginning, our conversations came so naturally. I loved hearing about his interests and always found myself looking forward to our phone calls. He told me he loved the sound of my voice and the way I laughed, which only made our conversations last even longer. We talked for about a month before finally going on our first date, and from that moment on, everything changed. What started as a simple swipe turned into the kind of love we had always hoped for, but never truly expected to find. The years we’ve spent together have been the most peaceful, joyful, and deeply loved years of our lives. We cherish the simple things most — quality time together, planning trips, spending time with friends, and finding adventure in everyday life as we continue to grow side by side. What began as two separate lives slowly turned into the home, love, and future we had both been searching for all along, and we feel endlessly grateful that out of all the paths our lives could have taken, they led us to each other.
