Things To Do

There's more to LA than Rodeo Drive and the Walk of Fame. Here are a few of the places we love. You can also check out laist.com and timeout.com for the latest in what's happening in the area.

Little Tokyo

Los Angeles, CA

AMAZING FOOD + KARAOKE + ANIME!!

Koreatown

Koreatown

Los Angeles, CA

AMAZING FOOD + KARAOKE + 24-HOUR SPAS!!

Griffith Park

4730 Crystal Springs Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90027
, (323) 913-4688

This park is ENORMOUS. You can hike amidst the abandoned cages and caves of the old LA Zoo. And the famous Griffith Observatory offers FREE ADMISSION. There's even a carousel and miniature train ride for the kids and kids at heart.

Los Angeles County Museum of Art

5905 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90036
, (323) 857-6000

We were LACMA members for awhile. This museum boasts a wide variety of artwork. This is home to the famous Urban Light installation (Instagram must). When you've had enough Picassos, you can hang out in nearby park and walk to the La Brea Tar Pits next door.

LASA

727 North Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90012
, (213) 443-6163

We LOVE eating here! The Valencia brothers use local and seasonal ingredients to modernize Pinoy cuisine, while still making it taste like something made by Mom (or Papa!). Be sure to explore the rest of Chinatown after eating!

The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens

1151 Oxford Road, San Marino, CA 91108
, (626) 405-2100

An amazing escape from the city. You can spend all day roaming through bamboo forests, looking at cacti straight out of a Dr. Seuss book, or enjoying traditional English high tea in their rose garden.

Knott's Scary Farm

8039 Beach Boulevard, Buena Park, CA 90620
, (714) 220-5200

A yearly Halloween tradition for Jeff and Allison when the berries become scary. Well worth the drive down to Orange County.

Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights

100 Universal City Plaza, Universal City, CA 91608
, (800) 864-8377

Another yearly tradition for Jeff and Allison. Check out Harry Potter during the day and stay for the haunted mazes at night.

For all the days along the way
