Like many modern couples, we met on Bumble. A weekend trip to San Diego for Hazel led to a mutual right swipe—Jeff drawn to Hazel's inviting smile, and Hazel to Jeff's kind eyes and sense of adventure. What began as a simple match quickly blossomed into something much more. From that first connection, it was clear something special was unfolding. Long phone conversations and shared laughter followed, eventually prompting Hazel to say, "I'm coming to San Diego so we can go to brunch." On March 15, 2025, Jeff picked Hazel up from the airport. Arriving early, they took in the ocean view before sitting down for brunch, and they both immediately agreed there would be a second date before looking at the menu. The day continued with another walk overlooking the ocean and a passionate kiss that marked the beginning of their journey together. The second date took place in Las Vegas and included Hazel's entire family—sisters, in-laws, nieces, and nephews—minus her mom. Jeff joined the family's annual March Madness gathering and, according to him, “survived.” Soon after, Hazel was warmly welcomed into Jeff's family by his wonderful children, Nick and Maya, and Bruno, their beloved puggle. Their shared love of travel and curiosity about the world have already taken them to the Seychelles and Panama. In the Seychelles, they celebrated Hazel's 55th birthday, and she introduced Jeff to her beloved birth island—a place woven into her heart. Watching Jeff embrace the people, savor the food, and immerse himself in the culture filled Hazel with gratitude and love, reaffirming their shared belief in curiosity, connection, and experiencing the world with open hearts. They also celebrated Jeff's birthday in Panama, standing in awe as they sailed through the canal's locks. From their hotel balcony, they watched ships gather to make their passage—moments that reminded them how extraordinary it is to experience the world together, and how exciting it is to imagine what lies ahead. From the beginning, there was comfort—a feeling of home and peace alongside love. Their lives slowly and beautifully intertwined and integrated, and they continue to choose each other every day. They both agree that finding each other as youthful Gen Xers, love hits differently. They cherish the little things, deeply respect one another, and embrace each other's imperfections. They are grateful for the past experiences that have shaped and brought them to this moment together. They look forward to celebrating their union surrounded by the people who have shaped, supported, and loved them. Thank you for being part of their story, their journey. They can't wait to celebrate the beginning of their next chapter with you. Hazel and Jeff
