Jefferson and I can easily see how God's hand was in our meeting and ultimately guiding us as we fell in love. We met on the first Saturday of my senior year at The Master's University. For me, I had planned to go hang out with a couple girl friends, but little did I know the kid with the cute smile (who we buried in the sand up to his beard), had thought I was cute too. Our first date (unofficial) was mini-golfing. We talked and talked till an employee politely informed us the course had been closed for a half an hour. For our first official date, he took me out to sushi, a sunset walk on the beach, and ice cream cones on the pier. Over the course of the next year, our friendship and love grew through the 7+ months of long-distance, long, nightly phone calls (praise the Lord for Facetime), and ever anticipated scattered weeks we shared together. On October 10, 2020, Jefferson picked me up from work and took me to sushi and a sunset walk on the beach (the same as our first date). As we scampered up some rocks, hand in hand, to watch the sun as it slowly sank beneath the horizon, I was just so thankful to be with someone who complimented me so well. When he slipped down on one knee, I immediately fell with him in shock. As I clung to him, crying (joyful tears), he expressed his love and told me how much he wanted to spend the rest of his life together, with me. I'll never forget that moment of such pure joy. I truly cannot wait to see how Jesus shines through our life as one.
We will continue to keep our page updated with any Covid-19 changes that may affect the wedding: Our wedding will be taking place in a large outdoor area and will follow the restrictions that the San Benito County puts in place with mask wearing and physical distancing (along with any other restrictions that arise).
