Veronica and Jared’s story begins in Jim Thorpe, PA, on their very first date - paddleboarding and picnicking at Mauch Chunk Lake. Balancing on the paddleboards brought plenty of laughter and lighthearted competition between the two. After spending time on the water, the day ended with a picnic on the beach. What started as a simple day at the lake turned into hours of conversation, laughter, and the kind of connection that feels easy from the very beginning. They continued dating throughout college, growing side by side while building a foundation rooted in friendship, support, and shared dreams. With each passing year, their relationship deepened. They celebrated incredible milestones together including graduating with their master’s degrees, starting their careers side-by-side, and buying their first home! Each accomplishment has been a testament to their teamwork, encouragement, and shared vision for the future. Family and friends have always been at the center of their lives. Whether it’s hosting summer barbecues in their new backyard, gathering for their annual Friendsgiving, baking Christmas cookies in their kitchen, going on annual camping trips, or simply playing board games, Veronica and Jared cherish building community and creating memories with the people they love. Adventure has always been a part of their story. Together, they traveled to Europe, exploring France, Italy, and Greece, and creating unforgettable memories along the way. They rode gondolas through the canals of Venice, stood at the top of the Eiffel Tower, visited the beaches of Greece, drove Vespas through the Italian countryside, and bravely took on a 40oz Florentine T-bone steak in Florence - just the two of them! Each trip strengthened their love for exploring the world hand in hand. Closer to home, the beach holds a special place in their hearts. Many summers have been spent in Ocean City, New Jersey - shopping along the boardwalk, eating Chickie & Pete’s crab fries and Three Brothers pizza (their favorite), playing mini golf, and finishing the night with ice cream. It’s where countless memories were made year after year with family and friends, and where their story took its next beautiful step. In September 2024, on the beach in Ocean City, Jared got down on one knee and asked Veronica to marry him. Surrounded by the sound of the waves in a place that had become so sentimental to them both, she said yes. It was a quiet, sacred moment by the shore; thoughtfully planned, deeply intentional, and entirely their own. On August 29th, 2026, the day after their eight-year dating anniversary, they will say “I do.” Choosing this date feels especially meaningful: one chapter closing, and a new one beginning. It honors the years that shaped them, while celebrating the lifelong commitment they are about to make. They cannot wait to begin this next chapter surrounded by the people who have supported them every step of the way.
