Why does my invite only say I am invited to the reception?

Answer

To honor our families across the country, we've decided to have a private ceremony followed by two separate receptions—one for each side of our families. This way, we can celebrate with everyone without asking anyone to travel extensively.

We're asking our guests to dress in cocktail attire. Ladies, we'd love to see you in cocktail dresses, and gentlemen, please wear either a button-down with khakis or a sport coat with dress pants.
