Cece was visiting Chicago to celebrate her birthday with friends on a Saturday evening in 2017. Julio extended a last minute invitation to Sunday morning brunch...even though it was already 2am. Miraculously, Cece made it to brunch, late as usual, and there was Jeff sitting at the table waiting to meet "the cute Asian girl" everyone was promising him. Despite the long-distance, we hit it off and here we are!

Jeff's Mom, Chris, and his daughter, Anya, were visiting California, so what better thing to do than go to Disneyland. It rained for hours and we were completely soaked. At some point, the rain ceased and Jeff insisted we take a group photo in front of Cinderella's castle. Once we gathered in front of the castle, Jeff got down on his knee and whipped out the ring. It was in a Pokeball! Cece always said she didn't want a cliché proposal, but deep down she's grateful it was at the Happiest Place on Earth! By the way, this was 2 days prior to Disneyland shutting down for quarantine. Good timing!
