Tucked away about 30+ minutes from downtown Sacramento, the Grand Island Mansion feels like a storybook escape into the heart of California’s Delta wine country — winding roads, river views, and a dramatic reveal at the end. This historic estate has long been a glamorous hideaway for California socialites, politicians, and the occasional celebrity, and we can’t wait for you to experience its magic right alongside us.
Absolutely — children are very welcome! This day marks the beginning of our own family, and it wouldn’t feel complete without celebrating alongside the families who have shaped us. We’re so happy to welcome kids of all ages that we've included them on your invitation. When you RSVP, please confirm if you’ll be bringing your child(ren) so we can plan thoughtfully for our littlest guests.
We invite you to dress in semi-formal attire inspired by a summer garden party in Sacramento wine country. Think light, flowing fabrics in pastels with playful hats or fascinators, and lighter-colored suits with fun accessories for the gents. So please kindly skip white, black, neon, and loud prints. Instead, think soft and romantic tones in blush, lavender, sage, butter, powder blue, peach, and champagne. Ladies- be aware that the ceremony will take place outdoors on the fabulously landscaped front lawn, and the remaining events in the evening will be indoors and/or on paved ground. Please plan your shoes accordingly.
Many guests have been offered the option of a plus one as part of their wedding invitation. If you were offered the option of bringing a guest, we truly hope you will bring someone near and dear to you. Simply indicate their name and attendance when you RSVP.
We’re hoping for a classic hot summer night in the California Central Valley — think low 80s after sundown. The ceremony will be held outdoors, followed by a cocktail hour that flows between indoor and outdoor spaces. Dinner will take place in an outdoor, white tent, and the evening will wrap up with drinks and dancing on the outdoor patio, with space heaters throughout the property. If you tend to get chilly in the evening, we recommend bringing a light layer.
To RSVP on Zola, open the couple’s wedding link and click “RSVP.” Enter your name as it appears on the invitation, select your attendance (and any guest details requested), and submit. You’ll see a confirmation once your response is saved. If you are having any technical issues or need help with the website, please reach out directly to Yelena.
We know that many of our guests will enjoy a glass of champagne, while others will look to toast with sparking cider. Consequently, we will have an open bar offering beer, wine, and champagne, as well as soda and plenty of non-alcoholic options.
We are likely able to accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions with our caterers, though the dinner will be buffet style, and we are confident that there will be a little bit of something for everyone. That said, please let us know in advance if you require any accommodation, and we will do our best to make sure you can enjoy a delicious meal with us.
As many of our guests are local to the Sacramento or Bay Area, we did not block out rooms, so feel free to book a room where you feel most comfortable. Recommendations are provided in the travel section, and please do reach out to Jeff if you need any help with local stays in the Sacramento area.
Parking at the venue is free, plentiful, and easy. At this time, we do not plan to provide shuttles or group transportation, but if you need assistance making arrangements or have accessibility concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re happy to help however we can.
We recommend flying into Sacramento International Airport (SMF), which is less than 20 minutes from downtown Sacramento and convenient to most hotels.
