We met as most couples do, at the People's Improv Theater in New York City at 9:30 in the morning. Sarah was rehearsing a play there and Jeff was working in the office. He sleepily (read grumpily) opened the doors for Sarah and her cast each morning. And Sarah was smitten right away. "Who is this sleepy man?" She wondered. "And how do I get him to kiss me?" The answer was, she didn't know! And they never talked again... UNTIL! Six month later Jeff and Sarah were still in search of love and steeped in the online dating world. Swipe Right. Swipe Left. Swipe Right. Swipe left. On and on and on. In a endless march towards mediocre dates and ghostings so real they would scare an actual ghost. UNTIL! All of a sudden, they happened to swipe right on each other. After a rousing back and forth of messages about NBC's Quantico and pretending to be robots, the line was caught and they decided to go on their first date! A GOOD DATE! They had wine. They ("finally!" - Sarah) kissed . They talked about SNOWPIERCER! How could it be better? (read: it couldn't!) And the rest, well, that's history. And herstory. The End.......
One Labor Day weekend in 2018 Sarah thought she was taking a trip with her friends Lizzie McGuire and Rob Brinkmann to look at wedding venues for them in beautiful New Hope, PA. Jeff, Sarah thought, was unable to join them because of a prior commitment. New Hope is one of Jeff and Sarah's very favorite towns. Jeff and Sarah had their first get away as a couple there. They both got extremely sick but still had so much fun with each other. The trip helped them realize that this thing they had going together was pretty special. Anyway little did Sarah know, the whole trip was a ruse developed by Jeff with Lizzie and Rob to surprise Sarah with a proposal! Sarah, Lizzie, and Rob's very first stop on their trip was a ride on the Ivyland Railroad. The Ivyland Railroad is a super cool antique train that runs out of town, through the woods, and back. You can drink wine and eat cheese on the train and it's a lot of fun. Sarah noticed when they boarded that no one else was in the car with them and she though that was strange, but oh well! Meanwhile, Jeff had snuck onto the train with Sarah's grandmother's ring in his pocket and bullets of sweat. About ten minutes into the train ride Lizzie and Rob both excused themselves to use the bathroom (again Sarah thought this was a bit strange but let it slide.) To kill time Sarah started taking pictures of herself on the train and texting them to Jeff. She was so absorbed in writing the perfect caption for her selfie that she didn't notice the love of her life striding into the train car behind her. It wasn't until he called her name that she turned around. Sarah was stunned to see Jeff standing in the train car with her. At first she was just excited that he was able to make it on the trip after all. But then she realized that he showed up on a moving train, so something serious must be going on. And there was! Jeff got down on one knee and asked Sarah to spend the rest of her life with him. And she said yes.
