Great breakfast! One of our must dos when we are in town! Bonus-you can watch all the airplanes!
Another great breakfast spot in town.
For when you need takeout and burritos! Our to go after a day of drinking! The El Jefe is HUGE and delicious!
For anyone looking for an elevated steakhouse experience. Sara highly recommends the brussel sprouts.
805... enough said! But for the newcomers, this place is very cool for interlacing two of our favorite things, wine and beer. When converted wine making oak barrels meet hops and barley, magic is born. Do not miss the smash burgers!
Sara and JT's obsession with vinegar is celebrated here! The address provided is the downtown tasting room but we always visit the ranch on Vineyard Dr. If you are out wine tasting, a tasting here is a good pit stop because there are ample amounts of bread to be had!
One of Jeff's favorites, specializing in Bordeaux blends. Enjoy a tasting or a glass inside the tasting room or on the large patio.
Hal, the winemaker, is a former Navy pilot and Top Gun instructor. His father-in-law was a member of the band Super Tramp. Lots of great stories to be heard here! More Rhone and Bordeaux reds, with some awesome blends. Watch out for Roger the cat, who we lovingly call Jerry.
Full disclosure, we found this place because they stay open later than most wineries. However, they keep us coming back (even sober) with a welcoming staff and well-aged wines. Ask for Grape (yes, that is his name) and you might just get a cellar tour and barrel tasting.
For obvious reasons, we found this winery on our Halloween trip. It is a little further than most but we loved it for the beautiful grounds and unique wines. You can't go wrong with spooky vibes and a Bloody Mary made with bubbles... yes you read that right!
Great story here! Known as "the Godfather of Paso", Gary was the first to plant Syrah on the Central Coast. He is a Penn State alumni but we can forgive that because the wines are great and the caves are greater! If you are looking for an elevated experience, book the VIP Cave Grotto Experience but there are other options to tour the caves as well.
One of the higher price points but the wine is great (more Rhone and Bordeaux, are you sensing a pattern?), the views are stunning, and the art is very cool!
