FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please submit RSVPs by mail by July 11th. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our dress code ranges from dressy casual to semi-formal, with a focus on church-appropriate attire. Suitable options include dresses, skirts, or dressy tops paired with slacks. For men, a collared shirt or button-down is appropriate, with jackets and ties being optional.

Question

What should I expect during the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will be a full Catholic Mass, lasting about an hour and including prayers, readings, and Holy Communion. Your presence, support, and prayers are truly appreciated, no matter your background.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will start promptly at 2:30 pm. We ask that you arrive around 2 pm to allow time for parking and seating.

Question

How far is the church from the reception venue?

Answer

The reception venue is about a forty-five-minute drive from the church. Sorry! Our reception begins at 4:30 pm. We ask that you head straight from the ceremony to the reception.

Question

The reception is in a forest preserve? Do I need bug spray?

Answer

Our reception venue is in a forest preserve. Don't worry, it is in an actual legit building with air conditioning, so you don't need to prepare to be roughing it. Enter confidently, through the woods and over the railroad tracks. Once you see what looks like a lovely place for a wedding reception on the right, you've reached your destination. Parking is to the left.

Question

Are you registered anywhere?

Answer

No, we're still sorting through all of the things we have both collected over the years, so we thought adding to it wasn't a great plan for us

Question

Will there be food?

Answer

Absolutely! There will be plenty. There will be some simple appetizers, a bar, soup, salad, Italian dinner favorites, coffee, and several desserts.
