Jeff and I first met in general chemistry 2 at the University of Georgia - a very romantic subject. We were really good friends for a long time, but there was always something more there. I asked him out when we were juniors in college and we realized that we were a really good match for each other. We were friends for years before we started dating, so we both knew what and who we were signing up for. We graduated from UGA with various flavors of science degrees and went on to separate medical schools - I was at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, FL and later Allentown, PA, and he was at The Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. We did long distance for a couple years, saw each other when we could, and worked hard so we could go to the same place for residency. We are now in Charleston, SC both at MUSC as general surgery residents, and we couldn't be happier. Jeff fishes a lot, and I like all of the other amenities that the low country has to offer. We're excited to have our big celebration with all of our friends and family, and are thrilled to come back to Athens for our special day! It feels like a long time coming with 8 years, 2 pets, and a joint bank account. We've been excited to throw this party for awhile, and we're looking forward to a couple of days with the people we love the most in life. Thank you for coming to share in this moment with us.
