FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please kindly RSVP no later than Saturday, March 6.

Question

Can we bring children to the wedding?

Answer

Your children are welcome to join us at church for our wedding Mass; however, the reception will be adults only (unless otherwise specified on your invitation). Thank you for understanding — we can’t wait to celebrate and toast with you!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We’d love to celebrate with all of our favorite people, but due to limited space, we’re only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

What is the dress code for the event?

Answer

Semi-formal wedding attire. If you’d like to avoid the wedding party colors, our bridesmaids will be wearing periwinkle blue and the groomsmen will be in black tuxedos. We welcome guests to wear bright colors and florals — think spring!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

If you have a food allergy, please reach out to Olivia or Jeffrey. We kindly ask that you let us know as soon as possible so we can do our best to accommodate you.

Question

Is there transportation from the hotel to the Detroit Yacht Club?

Answer

Transportation will be provided from the hotel to the reception venue, with return service to the hotel following the conclusion of the reception. Please note that the church is within walking distance of the hotel. Transportation schedule to be shared soon!

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

Details coming soon!

Question

Is there parking at the church and reception venue?

Answer

For guests driving to Ss. Peter & Paul Jesuit Church, parking will be available at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law Parking Lot (655 Larned St, Detroit, MI 48226). For guests driving to the Detroit Yacht Club, parking will be available on-site at the venue. Parking at both locations is complimentary.

Question

Why is there a gap between events and what should we do?

Answer

There is a break between the ceremony and reception to allow time for the couple to take photos and join cocktail hour to greet guests. During this time, we recommend exploring downtown, grabbing a coffee or drink, or taking a quick break at your hotel. We’ve also included a list of our favorite local spots in the “Things To Do” section of our website.
