We first met at a gathering of some mutual friends in New York City. I asked Lauren out on a date a few days later, which she finally agreed to after some convincing. It was the best date ever and we kept in touch over the years while both of us lived in different cities. We then reconnected in 2019 again while both of us were still living in different cities. We started "officially" dating a few months later and we haven't looked back.
We went away for a weekend getaway from the city in the Catskills. I waited until the last day to propose and for a second I thought I lost the ring in my bookbag. We were on two Adirondack chairs on a hill overlooking a lake but I couldn't find the ring. I told Lauren that I had dropped my car keys somewhere and we both went to look for them. After frantically looking for the ring while Lauren was away, I found the ring and then proposed after we came back together. It was a beautiful setting and we both were nervous and excited. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in the Berkshires!
