Question

Which airport do I fly into?

Answer

Daniel K. Inouye International Airport aka Honolulu International Airport (HNL) on the island of O'ahu.

Question

What are the COVID-19 restrictions in Hawaii?

Answer

We prefer that all guests are fully vaccinated and boostered. We are also complying with the state and island COVID-19 protocols for gatherings. 1) TRAVELING TO HAWAII: Please visit https://hawaiicovid19.com/travel/getting-to-hawaii/ for the latest guidelines. Changes to DOMESTIC travel requirements are pending as of March 2022. 2) WEDDING DAY: As of March 6, 2022, no proof of vaccination or negative test will be required to enter outdoor events. The entire wedding will take place outdoors. Masks are optional for outdoor events so we ask to please be respectful of everyone's choice of wearing a mask or not. 3) OTHER REQUIREMENTS FOR O'AHU: Visit www.oneoahu.org for latest testing/vaccination requirements to access public areas on the island of O'ahu (movie theatres, bars, restaurants, museums, etc.)

Question

What is the wedding attire?

Answer

Tropical/vacation chic (semi-formal/cocktail) Men: Dress shirt or collared shirt, dress shoes, dress pants or slacks. Tux/suit/tie optional. Women: Cocktail or maxi dress, long dressy skirt and top, jumpsuit/dressy pants. Wedges, block heels, or flats are recommended. Please note: The wedding ceremony and reception will both take place outdoors on grass. The reception dinner area will be covered.

Question

Where is your wedding registry?

Answer

We are so grateful that you all have traveled to join us for our celebration, so we are requesting no gifts for our wedding. If you feel inclined, contributions to our honeymoon would be appreciated! Please visit our honeymoon fund site to contribute: https://withjoy.com/kietzke-and-jeff/registry

Question

Is there public transportation and/or Uber/Lyft?

Answer

O'ahu does have both ride-sharing services, but mostly centralized in downtown Honolulu. There are no Ubers/Lyfts by Kualoa Ranch, where the wedding venue is located.

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

If you wish to explore around the island, we highly suggest that you rent a car. Public transportation (i.e., the bus) is not very good. Oʻahu has Ubers and Lyfts, but mostly in the central core of Honolulu

Question

How long does it take to get to the ceremony venue?

Answer

If you are driving from Waikiki: Please allow 1 hour, 15 min drive time If you are driving from North Shore: Please allow 1.5 hours drive time If you are driving from Kailua: Please allow 45 minutes drive time Also, keep in mind that on the East Side of O‘ahu (where Kualoa Ranch is), the highway is reduced down to one lane so if there's an accident or traffic, it could create delays. Better to arrive early than late!

Question

What should I pack for the trip?

Answer

Your bathing suit and/or wetsuit! Shorts, t-shirts, breathable short-sleeved collared shirts, beach cover ups. Bring sneakers or hiking shoes if you plan on going hiking, but you'll probably want to wear slippers/flip flops most of the time. Pack a hat, sunglasses, bug repellent, and sunscreen. *NOTE: If swimming/snorkeling, please be sure to pack or purchase REEF SAFE sunscreen for the safety of Hawaii's sea creatures!
