The ceremony will take place inside the chapel. According to current Long Beach and California guidelines, masking is not required but is recommended for indoor settings, particularly for those who are unvaccinated or those with immune vulnerabilities. Given the current uptick in cases, we support and encourage anyone who wants to mask to feel free to do so. The reception will be outdoors. We will update this information should there be any change in the days leading up to the wedding, and we appreciate everyone's support in following whatever guidelines might be in place for our gathering.
There is ample parking in the lot behind the church, which you can enter from E. 36th Street. If you follow the paved path onto the church campus, the big auditorium will be to your right, and the chapel, where our ceremony will be held, will be to your left (the north side of the courtyard).
Directly after the ceremony, guests are invited to mix and mingle in the courtyard outside the chapel. There is no assigned seating, so feel free to sit, stand, and/or move about as you feel to in the moment. There will be a selection of stationary nibbles, passed appetizers, and beverages (both alcoholic and non) available.
Katherine will remain K.Lo but also considers herself part of the Jensen family now, so future cards and letters can be addressed either to Katherine Lo and Jeff Jensen or The Jensens / The Jensen Family.
We're staying local for the first two nights, then are off to Toronto early Monday morning for a visit to Niagara Falls and a stay in the charming Canadian town Niagara-on-the-Lake.
While the plan is to eventually merge into one household, for now Katherine and Jeff will each keep their current residences and split time between them. Essentially, they are gaining a spouse AND a house!
