We're getting married!

We started out talking only on email, Jeff would handle the Diesel Fuel Surcharge updates that I would send him. Never did I actually see him at the office until the night we met. We officially met at an Airgas Company Indians Baseball game. All of our work friends were pushing us to meet each other, they all knew we were both single and looking for love! :-P Jeff knew I was going to be there and had a plan of talking to me for the first time but I had no clue. Cassie Armour and I ended up sitting behind him during the game and I finally got to meet him face to face and have our first conversation. After the baseball game we all went out to Thirsty Parrot (a bar in Cleveland) where Jeff asked me for my phone number with his ancient phone he had at the time. :) September of that same year after many movie and dinner dates he asked me to be his girlfriend. I still remember that day vividly because he asked me on his birthday, he said he just couldn't wait any longer! And that is how it all started! I am so thankful our paths crossed!

"May the 4th" wasn't just a date all the Star Wars nerds celebrated. It was a date where a man and a woman joined forces in this thing called engagement! Leading up to the big day, Kari thought she would be spending the night at a Vineyard for her birthday. Little did she know, she would be asked a very serious, life changing question! They went to work as usual on that dreary rainy day. Kari was bummed about the weather being rainy but Jeff kept being his positive self in saying they will still have a wonderful time regardless of the weather! Kari then calmed down, as he usually has that magical effect on her. When they arrived at the vineyard they were given their room key to one of the rooms in the Portofino Villa. The first part was an unfortunate event to start off the evening but a little comical as well. They were given the incorrect room number and key to an already occupied room and almost walked in on a poor naked man. But hey, that wasn't stopping their fun for the evening! They finally got into their hotel room to be greeted by an absolutely jaw dropping display of pure Tuscany. From the beautiful gas fireplace to the tiled floor to ceiling walk-in shower, it was something they had never seen before. Something so romantic that it made them totally forget the outside world and that they were actually in good ole Canton, Ohio. After Kari went around taking pictures of every single little detail with her new Canon camera, Jeff patiently waited for just the right moment to pop that important question. Nervously waiting I might add, with something in his pocket that felt like it weighed 1000 lbs. Jeff got Kari's attention and got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Kari said yes with the biggest smile and kissed and hugged Jeff out of pure bliss! They then enjoyed an amazing evening at the Bistro Restaurant and had drinks at the Crush house and sat in their fancy robes by the fire, celebrating the start of an amazing adventure!
