Getting to Cooperstown

Albany International Airport or Syracuse Hancock International Airport are your the closest airports. Both are about a 90-minute drive or Uber from Cooperstown. Please let us know if you are interested in splitting a car rental or uber from the airport to Cooperstown. We will try to coordinate with guests arriving around the same time.

Answer

The nearest Amtrak station is in Albany-Rensselaer. You can then uber/lyft or rent a car. The drive from Albany-Rensselaer station is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Please let us know if you are interested in splitting an uber or car rental to Cooperstown from the train station. We will try to coordinate with guests arriving around the same time.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Yes! There is valet and self-parking at The Otesaga.

Are Uber, Lyft, or other rideshare apps available in Cooperstown

Answer

While you can get a Lyft or Uber to Cooperstown from Albany or Syracuse, Uber and Lyft are very limited in Cooperstown. We recommend either renting a car or using a Taxi service. You can use All Star Taxi (607-267-1834).

Is transportation provided to and from the welcome event and wedding?

Answer

Yes! Transportation will be provided to and back from the welcome event and wedding from the Otesaga, Lakefront Hotel, and Hampton Inn.

Will the wedding be indoor or outdoor?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors on an uncovered lawn (weather permitting). Cocktail hour is on an outdoor veranda and the reception is indoors.
