FAQs

Let us know what questions you have -- we want everyone to have a great time!
Question

Is there a registry?

Answer

Your presence is present enough! We do not have a formal registry. If anyone feels they want to bring/do something for us, we are planning a honeymoon to northern California at some point (hopefully soon) and a trip to the UK in 2021. Or, we would appreciate a donation to a charity of your choice in the Seattle area.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

All the events this weekend are for adults only. There will be no child care available.

Question

Is there a ceremony?

Answer

We are getting married in a very small, private ceremony on October 17. The invite is for the party on Saturday, October 19, and if anyone wants to explore the city with us on Sunday, October 20, that's great!

Question

What should I bring for the potluck?

Answer

Whatever you would like! There will be about 90 people on the invitation list, and folks will come and go all evening. We will have some snacks and beverages, but bring what makes you happy! There are plenty of outlets for slow cookers, a full-size range, refrigerator/freezer, and lots of counter space. Alcohol is fine too!

Question

How long is the party?

Answer

We start at 4 p.m. and will run until 8 p.m. Please note: We have approximately 90 people on the invitation list, so please come and go when is comfortable for you. Don't feel compelled to stay the full time, but do come have fun and mingle!

Question

Is there parking at the party?

Answer

The Villas at Beardslee has a parking garage, but be mindful of any posted signs. There is also a shopping center in front of the building (with a Starbucks), but those spots are typically for patrons. Be mindful. Also, there is street parking and a residential neighborhood behind the building where parking is allowed.

Question

What about the weather?

Answer

We hope for the best weather possible. The party venue has great outdoor spaces we would love to use. In typical Pacific Northwest style, prepare for anything.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Come in what makes you comfortable! The party may be casual, but dress however you wish: formal, laid-back, costume, anything goes! It's Seattle, so flannel, fleece, and GorTex works.
