Question

Why did we choose a Maui, destination wedding?

Answer

We started compiling our guest list and realized that we were in over our heads. It's no secret that we're both social beings. Our list was quickly reaching the 220 mark and induced a sense of panic. What was supposed to be a beautiful and blessed event started causing ridiculous anxiety and one fine day, amidst the planning, Jeff said "babe, forget this! Let's run away and get married!" I said "done!" He asked "if you could get married anywhere on the earth, where would it be?" I, without hesitation, said "Maui". (I've been blessed to travel a bit, and it is and will remain my favorite place on the planet). He said, "done!" To get married there, is literally a dream come true! I can't wait to share my special place with my Jeff, and we can't wait to share this incredible trip with all of you!

Question

Isn't a destination wedding kinda selfish?

Answer

No! And here is why! WE WANT YOU TO JOIN US! But, if you can't (and we most certainly know that, sadly, not all of our most beloved will be able to join us), we decided that we needed to invest in this trip of a lifetime (a week vacation in paradise with the kids, barefoot on the sand, making memories for years to come, with a handful of friends and family members by our side) rather than a one day, gigantic celebration back home, loaded with stress. Maui is an incredible vacation location. So, we plan on having the time of our lives there with as many of our family and buddies, in tow that can join in! We look forward to this EPIC TROPICAL ADVENTURE with each and every one of you (and please keep in mind that every out of town wedding requires travel expense...granted, this one may require a little more, but we guarantee lifetime memories...how many standard, conga line weddings can promise that?!?!). We love you all and cannot wait to celebrate with each and every one of you!

Question

Do we have to stay at the Royal Lahaina Resort?

Answer

No! You are certainly welcome to stay wherever you choose. But, after a LOT of researching, this resort is beautifully, centrally located, and they offered us the absolute best prices that we were able to find. It's where we (Jeff and Jen and the fam) are staying and where our reception will be held on the evening of the 22nd. And it's a VERY highly rated place...TripAdvisor's #4 Best Value on all of Maui!!!

Question

What are the dates of travel?

Answer

Jeff, Jen and the kids will be in Maui from 2/19/20 through 2/25/20. The Royal Lahaina has, graciously, extended the wedding rates three days prior to the 19th and three days following the 25th. So, basically, you can stay any days from the 16th of February, 2020 through the 28th of February 2020 and still get the (much reduced) wedding rates, based on availability! Choose your own adventure! Just make sure you're with us on the 22nd for our "big day!"

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Is the water in Hawaii turquoise? You betcha! It was super important that our kids were part of the celebration. If you want your kiddos to join in, bring them!

For all the days along the way
