We went to a local concert series called Weather Permitting featuring live music and local beers at an outdoor garden center. We shared a picnic blanket while asking each other weird questions. All the music worked up an appetite, so we went for Thai food at Noodlehead where Jackie mercilessly ridiculed Jeff's chopstick technique. Despite this verbal lashing, it was the first date of many.
See above. But seriously, we got engaged at our home in the midst of a global pandemic. Jeff did his best to bring some normalcy to this by recreating a version of our first date with a much lower risk of viral transmission. He set up a picnic in our living room complete with a playlist of bands featured at Weather Permitting and, of course, our favorite Noodlehead pork belly buns. His chopstick skills had much improved by this time. Jeff popped the question and Jackie said yes.
