Thank you to everyone who attended our wedding It was literally the perfect day and we could not have asked for better company, weather, and sunset! We are happily still married 1 month later and happy we are no longer on wedding diet! Jeff and Helen first met on the dating app Coffee Meets Bagel and had their first date at URBN in North Park. In a sign of things to come, Helen ate more pizza than Jeff, Jeff drank more beer than Helen, and they both devoured ice cream together. Despite both of them thinking they were just going to 'date for fun' knowing Helen was leaving for PA school in Boston the following year, they fell fast, decided to do the long distance thing, and the rest is history.
After months of anticipation, visits to multiple wineries, and the close help of his best friend Tom and his wife Kirsten, Jeff planned to pop the question during a wine tasting trip to Temecula with their friends and family. At the first stop--Mount Palomar Winery--he ushered everyone up to the area where they host weddings for a group picture. Shortly after, he called for everyone's attention, got down on one knee, and asked the girl of his dreams to marry him. Helen enthusiastically said yes, and they finished off their wine tour and celebrated with an engagement party that night.
Jeff and Helen always knew they wanted to get married in San Diego at a location close to water, and knew Scripps Seaside Forum was perfect as soon as they laid eyes on it. The venue overlooks the beach and sits next to the iconic Scripps Pier, with an outside lawn for the ceremony and an inside area for the reception. Guests will (hopefully!) be treated to a brilliant sunset during cocktail hour, along with an open bar and a few special surprises, so you'll surely be in for a night to remember!
