We met when Emily visited my tattoo shop to get work done when she was 18. She would always make sure she was all dressed up and looking as beautiful as always to try to catch my eye. Well it worked. As she continued to get more and more tattoos done by me we developed a friendship and got to know eachother more and more. Years passed and we unfortunately lost contact. Until one day Emily walked back into the shop to setup an appointment for a new tattoo. Before she left she said "Hey we should grab a beer sometime!" Well me being as awkward as I am immediately turned around to pretend to mess with the copier machine because I was nervous and couldn't make any words come out. I take a few breaths, turn around, and say "Okay how about we go out after your tattoo appointment?" After that first date we just knew this was something special, something different, something we could only dream of.

It was late summer, Jeffrey and I had been on a few dates. I remember thinking he was so shy and such a gentleman. Always respectful and kind to the point where a few different times I wondered if he was even completely interested in me because he wasn't as affectionate as I was used to! One night we had been hanging around outside at a friend's house and I had to leave because I had to work early in the morning. Like after a high school dance, Jeffrey put his hand in the middle of my back and asked if he could walk me to my car. He held my hand all the way there and when we got to the car I turned around to hug him and saw a glimmer in his eye. He very quietly said "I've been wanting to ask, can I kiss you?" As if that wasn't perfect enough, he brushed my hair behind my ear like in the movies and leaned in to give me the sweetest most gentle kiss I have ever had in my life. I went weak in the knees, I was covered in goosebumps, I felt faint, I had never been so overwhelmed by a kiss in my whole life! When my brain could function enough to form a thought, I said to myself......"This is the one. This is the man I'm going to spend forever with."
