Altitude affects everyone differently but some common signs of altitude sickness are shortness of breath, nausea, dizziness, and trouble sleeping. This is not very common but a few things to keep in mind: 1) You can help yourself by drinking lots of water before and throughout the trip. 2) Alcohol will affect you faster than at sea level. 3) The best relief for symptoms of altitude sickness is to go to lower altitude. From Avon the best destination would be Glenwood Springs which is approximately 45 minutes to the west and 2000 feet lower in elevation.
Springtime weather in the mountains can be unpredictable. Most often the daytime is warm and sunny with temperatures in the 60s and cools off significantly in the evening with lows in the 40s. There is a possibility of a spring snowstorm so we recommend checking the forecast during the week prior to pack accordingly.
Semi-formal.
For the safety and comfort of all our guests and in compliance with the authorities in our area we respectfully request all guests be fully vaccinated before the wedding weekend.
