Question

When should I submit my RSVP?

Answer

Please submit your RSVP on this site by September 8th. If you know you are not able to attend, please RSVP "will not attend" as soon as possible so we may plan accordingly. Thank you!

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We will begin the ceremony promptly at 4:00. Please arrive 15-30 minutes early to allow time to park and be seated.

Is there parking at the venue or transportation provided?

Answer

There is parking at the venue but may not accommodate all guests. We will provide a shuttle to and from Drury Inn & Suites in West Des Moines located off of I-35. Additional information including specific pick-up and drop-off times will be provided closer to the ceremony date. SHUTTLE UPDATE: The shuttle will pick up at Drury Inn at 3:15 to take guests to Carper Winery. The shuttle will leave Carper to return guests to Drury Inn at 9:00, 10:00, and 11:00. The shuttle is paid but tips are appreciated. Please let Dawn or Jeff know if you originally signed up to ride the shuttle but now will not be. The shuttle to the ceremony is full and others are interested. Guests may ride the shuttle back to Drury even if they didn’t take it there. Reach out to Dawn or Jeff with any questions.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal. Please plan accordingly for fall weather as the ceremony will be held outdoors (weather permitting).

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. The names of each party member will be listed under your RSVP. Please reach out if you have any questions. We appreciate your understanding!

Are children allowed?

Answer

We’ve decided to keep our ceremony and reception adults-only, with the exception of those in our wedding party. We hope you’ll take this opportunity for a night out and celebrate with us! Thank you for your understanding!

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We’re having an "unplugged" ceremony. Please refrain from using phones or cameras during the ceremony. We’ve hired a professional photographer and videographer to capture these special moments. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you’d like!

Answer

We do not have a block of rooms reserved. However, we will provide transportation to and from the wedding venue and Drury Inn and Suites.

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

Your presence on our wedding day is the greatest gift we could ask for, and we are so grateful to have you celebrate with us. Truly, gifts are neither necessary nor expected. However, we know some of you insist and if you feel moved to give, there is information on the registry tab at the top of this website.
