Our Story - Told by Jeff

I was working at Black Tie Ski Rentals, was making sales calls to our sponsers and met Christina at Alpine Getaways. I had sat down one on one with Christina and went through my short pitch. Though I was trying to do my job I recoginized her beautifuil eyes and contunied on with my job but had kept Christina in my mind. A short time later we were both in attendance at a local event KBUT Bingo, we ran into eachother and caught up quickly then went our seperate ways. Later that eveing we ran into eachother again and we able to spend a longer ammount of time conversating. A week later we went on our first dinner date and continiued to communicate often. After realizing that I enjoyed Christina's laidback personality, good looks and common interest we moved forward and began to date, and fell in love. I knew that Christina had a Daughter and met Landrie when she was 3 years old and she is now 10! It has been a pleasure watching her grow and being a integrative part of her life and now to be her official stepdad. So here we are today, may years later commiting our lives together.

Our Story - Told by Christina

BINGO!

It was an October afternoon in 2014 and I was sitting at my desk when Jeff stopped by my office to promote Black Tie Ski Rentals. He gave me his sales pitch and I listened intently. Jeff's smile made me melt. Not only was he attractive, but he was a professional...he definitely wasn't giving off ski bum vibes. He left and I was immediately crushing and I had a hunch it was mutual. A week or two later, Jeff called and wanted to set up a time for him to come back in and go through the packet of information he left. I put the meeting on my calendar and made sure I was looking nice that day. We sat together for about 20 minutes while he over explained things and I asked obvious questions. Jeff left and I felt a spark... I started stalking him on social media and my co-worker soon put Jeff's photo as the background of my computer. Nothing happened for awhile until one night I was out with friends at the KBUT radio bingo night. This isn't your grandma's bingo - it was a full on party in a dark lit basement with drinks flowing. If you didn't walk out of there with a few bingo dots on your face, you were doing it wrong! We spotted each other from across the room and made eye contact a few times; neither of us were comfortable enough to go strike up conversation. I remember having a great time with friends, dancing on tables and always being aware of where Jeff was. When bingo ended, everyone went out to the local bars to continue the night of fun. I ended up at Kochevars first. One of the guys Jeff was hanging out with, Sam, came up to me and I said, "Hey! Where is your friend Jeff?!" Sam let me know he had just left and went to the next bar - The Talk of the Town. So I skipped my drink at Kochevars and went right down there like I was on a mission. I got to 'The Talk' and walked right up to Jeff dancing on the dance floor and said something like, "Hey, I was looking for you... I need some water." He linked arms with me, left the dance party and got me some water. We were next to each other for the rest of the night, eventually making it to an after party at a Sarah Jane and Drew's place. We were looking at this jar of buttons and beads, laying on our stomachs on the floor, shoulder to shoulder. Jeff found an earring in the jar and put it in my ear, then gave me our first kiss. It was the sweetest. From that night on, we went on some real dates and we were always in touch. Jeff and I dated all winter long. I even met his best family friends who were visiting on a guys ski trip. Jeff left that spring and took his camper on a month long tour to California, Arizona and back. I set him up with some goodies for his trip but let him know to have a good time and if we were meant to be then I would be there waiting for him when he got back. I fully expected not to hear from him but to my surprise he texted or called everyday. He returned in early June and gifted me his mom's townie bike (best gift ever!) but annoyingly he didn't kiss me. I was getting mixed signals and was very confused... but it didn't take much time for us to warm back up to each other. On July 4th we went camping together and it was a magical, rainy night. As the rain was falling off our tarp, Jeff saw the need to make a trench with his hatchet so the rain would flow away from us. As weird as it is, I think that was the moment I knew I loved him. I've been holding on to that love ever since.
