Our Story

The citizens of Dallas were bewildered. It was an unseasonably warm March. Every night had a full moon. Ranunculus and dahlias grew like weeds. The scent of freshly baked cookies hung in the air. Even cats and dogs were getting along. Scientists couldn’t figure it out. It felt like magic. Little did they know, love was in the air. It was a tale as old as time: Charlotte, deciding to finally brave the wastelands of online dating apps, sat in her mom’s kitchen, scrolling through potential suitors with her family as advisors. She came across a curious one: a man named Jeff. Short, pasty, standing in front of the Millennium Falcon. She normally might’ve had reservations about Star Wars references and a fanny pack, but remember, love was in the air. With the encouragement of her family, she accepted and made her first ever match. Many miles from Dallas, a phone lit up in a hotel room in the far-away kingdom of San Francisco. There rested Jeff, a grizzled veteran of the Dating App Wars. Jeff sighed at the alert, for you see, Jeff had just re-enlisted for another tour of duty, and was disenchanted by the whole thing. But again, love was in the air. He unlocked his phone and found a match from the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen: Charlotte. Newly inspired, he quickly messaged her and set up a date for when he returned to the land of love. They had their first date at the fanciest place in town, The Truckyard, on March 28th, 2024. Through many more dates, the two discovered their shared life goals, love of travel, cooking, the value of friends and family, and an appreciation for the little things in life. Jeff eventually decided to take things to the next level and asked Charlotte to go steady in the only way one would: with a Taylor Swift-inspired friendship bracelet. After that, as they say, the rest was history.
