This is the closest airport but not always the cheapest.

Ontario Airport (CA)

This is ~1 hour away and usually cheaper with more flight options. We've flown out of both airports and they're both great. There is a great designer outlet mall if you fly out of here. We rented a car so I'm not sure on Uber's from here.

JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa

We've stayed here twice now and we both love it as it's a true resort property with lots of things to do on site. It is a very large property so if you're wanting more of a Palm Springs feel and less of a big resort feel, then I wouldn't stay here.

We had our first date here at the restaurant here. It is VERY cute and gives all the Palm Springs vibes. We've never stayed here but the rooms look great. It is an adult-only property so no children under 18.

Ride Share vs Rental

Palm Springs is very spread out. Downtown Palm Springs is 30 minutes from the JW and the Sands. We've done both: rented a car and ubered around and I prefer the rental car option only because we got to see more that way. Try to request a Jeep - they're so fun if you end up going to Joshua Tree!
