It was a cold November evening in Salt Lake City Utah, and as with most cold evenings in the city, the Afterhours athletes descended upon the local watering hole for a night of socializing, music and dancing. Jeff had just finished playing some tunes for our merry crew when a mutual friend introduced them. They shared a laugh, locked eyes, and have been inseparable ever since. Now some may say that love at first sight doesn't exist, but I'm here to tell ya buddy, sure as shootin', it does. If it happens to you, well then hold on tight friend, because it will take you for one wild ride.
Upon returning home from an incredible trip to the Coastal Redwoods, Anna and I made a stop at one of our favorite places on the Oregon coast. We arrived just before sunset, and scurried down a steep trail to a rocky outcropping that is surrounded by natural arches, sea stacks, and the beautiful sound of crashing waves. I set up my tripod to take a "couple photo" and dashed into place by Anna's side. As the camera rolled I secretly pulled out the ring and dropped to one knee, surprising the woman that has been my ride or die since the day I met her. Now that we've officially set a date, we can't wait to celebrate with all the friends and family who have been apart of our lives and our journey. Thank you for making the trip out to Rainier. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
