There are a few options: 1) Fly into Denver Airport and rent a car and drive. it's about 3.5 hours, but beautiful and a very well maintained highway. 2) Fly to Denver and connect to Aspen direct 3) Fly to Aspen direct - there are limited routes, season dependent, usually from LAX, Dallas and SFO 4) Fly to Denver and connect to Eagle, and drive from there. (Approx 1.5-2 hrs)
Aspen is over 8k ft, and the ceremony will be atop the mountain at ~ 11k ft. Our recommendation is to get to Colorado a day or two early to adjust. We will have oxygen boosts onsite, but we encourage you to speak with your doctor if you've experienced altitude sickness before to be on the safe side, and perhaps get a prescription.
Since we decided to "deconstruct" the actual wedding day, our ceremony will be during the day of 9/15, and our party (think band!) will be on Friday night 9/16.
Kids will not be invited to the ceremony or party, however we do anticipate having activities for kids during the week and are happy to help with some childcare referrals if you plan to bring your children for the week. Please reach out and we can help!
Great question! Truth is, we're still not sure :) But know there will be a lot of creativity and liberties in the theme. For some, it might mean a bolo tie and cowboy boots and a shirt with flair! For women it might mean a disco dress, pants, jumpsuit and a cowboy hat! Others it might mean, lots of fringe and paisely and some glittery accessories. Zoe will be going 80% disco, 20% cowboy, and Jeff will likely be going 80% cowboy, 20% disco!
