Jeeyeon had started a new journey in her life. She had taken a bold step to change her career and was in a nursing program to become a registered nurse. She was excited and happy. Her relationship with her family had never been better and with her two lovely nieces—she couldn't have been happier. Her life was already full of love, purpose, and joy when she first met her groom-to-be on July 27, 2023. Jeeyeon remembers this day clearly—it was one of the hottest days of that summer. She thought Howard was cute, but a little shy. Jeeyeon, also naturally timid, decided it was time for her to open up and get to know Howard. She gave him a chance and took the initiative to get his number, which led to their second date. The second date led to a third, the third to a fourth and so on. Howard has been a special addition to Jeeyeon's life, inspiring new challenges and shared aspirations, and can't wait to tie the knot.

Howard was working hard as usual, tending to everyone's beloved furry little friends. After work he would get into his usual routine: taking his sweet golden retriever, Casey—who is no longer with us and very much missed—for a walk, then lovingly burying his nose into her Frito-smelling paws. Or he would sometimes go to his garage, fixing up or revamping his motorcycles with a few cans of beer to cool him down. It was on a hot summer day that his little cousin arranged for him to go on his first-ever blind date. There he came, in his shorts to meet his bride-to-be for the first time. Jeeyeon greeted him with a smile and he thought, 'She has a nice smile.' He thought she wasn't into him, but thankfully, she made the first move, giving him the chance to ask for a second date. Nervous but excited to see her again, Howard made sure he wore long pants this time—though Jeeyeon didn’t mind the shorts at all. And the rest, as they say, is history.
