Anand Karaj (Punjabi: ਅਨੰਦ ਕਾਰਜ ānada kāraja) is the Sikh wedding ceremony, meaning "Act towards happiness" or "Act towards happy life." During the Anand Karaj the couple completes 4 rounds which each have a special meaning.

What should I wear for the Anand Karaj?

Answer

During the morning ceremony please wear conservative clothing that covers shoulders and legs. It is expected that guests cover their heads during the ceremony - we can provide scarfs/head coverings if you do not have one. We kindly request appropriate attire for the Anand Karaj ceremony. Cocktail attire is recommended for the reception, and guests are welcome to bring a change of outfit if desired.

Is the ceremony outside?

Answer

Yes! the ceremony is outside - we will do our best to keep you cool but please dress appropriately (and we suggest you wear deodorant lol).
