Hello, Friends!

We hope you are well during these times. What a year to get married! Thank you for visiting our wedding website. We are looking forward to celebrating our marriage with you, our closest friends and family, whatever that looks like. We will be married this fall, come hell or high water, though we are aware that may require a non-traditional celebration. Either way, we look forward to celebrating together in the same place when all of this is over.

How We Met

August 2014

Madalaine and I met in 2014 during our freshmen year at LeTourneau University. We were merely acquaintances until we ran into each other a year later, and began discussing music, which became a defining point of attraction between us. After that, we interacted a few times, spending time with mutual friends, and playing music occasionally. This reached a critical point when we were playing guitar (and banjo) at the Jeske’s house, after rain cancelled the bonfire they were planning. At this point, I realized I was falling for Madalaine. After more music, playing a few open mics together, and a hard-won coffee date, we started dating in January 2017.

How He Proposed

December 21, 2019

For Christmas of 2019, Jed brought me up to the Pennsylvania mountains to meet his family for the first time. We spent several days with most of Jed’s family in a lodge in the mountains. On December 21st, Jed asked if I would like to grab my film camera and go on a walk in the snow to take pictures. Without second guessing, I jumped at the opportunity and and we wandered off up the snow covered mountain. While taking in the beauty of everything, I was oblivious to the fact that Jed had the most beautiful ring in his pocket. When Jed first asked me on a date, it was was a hard won coffee date (I am stubborn). Since then, “Do you want to go get coffee sometime?” has become one of our favorite refrains. It has become synonymous with the fact that we are in this together. On top of that Pennsylvania mountain, Jed took my hand and asked me if I would like to get coffee together for the rest of our lives. Of course I cried, and screamed, and laughed, and finally said yes. To which he asked... “Wait. Which hand does it go on?”
